韩子重(1922—1949),四川长寿人。1938年就读于成都协进中学,并加入中国共产党。次年入山西抗大三分校学习,毕业后在晋东南前线作战,兼战地记者。1940年被派回四川,从事党的地下工作。1948年在中共川康特委搞军运策反工作。1949年1月,因叛徒出卖被捕。11月27日牺牲于渣滓洞,时年27岁。……事实是这样,中国社会仅有的是盗、匪、兵、贼、贪污、横暴、梅毒、娼妓、堕落与腐化、荒淫与无耻。欺诈、虚伪,千万万人的压榨、剥削、奴役、残害和屠杀。这些,使我不能不产生一种“较激”的思想。因为我是一个人,我也不是聋而且瞎的人。我看见了这些,我也听到了一些。
