1934年,心维先生于杭州国立艺专雕塑系毕业,同年,魏达教授(英籍)辞去教席,回沪主持魏达洋行工作,承接上海、香港等地雕塑。他因年近古稀,体力不支,亟需一名助手分担其劳,遂聘心维先生。1935年,魏达教授根据香港上海汇丰银行一百元面额的钞票背面上印的狮子图象,为香港汇丰银行大楼门前设计了双狮小稿。(此稿经几十年奔波
In 1934, Mr. Xin Wei graduated from the Sculpture Department of Hangzhou Arts and Crafts College. In the same year, Professor Wei Da resigned from the faculty seat and returned to Shanghai to work on the management of Wei Da Yang Xing. He undertook the sculptures in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Because of his late seventies, his strength was poor, an assistant was in urgent need of sharing his labor, and then hired him. In 1935, Professor Weida designed a pair of draft scripts for the Hong Kong Bank Building in front of the lion images printed on the back of a hundred-dollar banknote of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.
