为了进一步扩大统计的社会影响,国家统计局拟在全国统计部门使用统一的“统计标志”,用于统计设施,会议场所及证件、报刊的装饰,经研究决定自1990年10月8日起在全国公开征集统计标志的设计图案,欢迎广大统计工作者和社会各界人士踊跃投稿.设计统计标志方案时要突出中国统计工作的特点,应标有“统计”的汉语拼音缩写或英文字母缩写.图案式样的形状不限.
