乌桕是我县的重要特产。为了选育良种,繁殖推广,我们对全县乌桕品种进行了初步调查。通过对比分析,获得了一个优良高产的自然品种——凤尾乌桕。凤尾乌桕在我县目前还仅有一株,生长在黄渡公社中心大队金坪生产队。这株凤尾乌桕生长地的海拔高度为800米,坡向南坡,土壤为黑色石灰质壤土,PH值7.5,土层厚度50厘米。树高12.9米,胸径52厘米、冠幅6.4米、树龄约50年。与当地一般乌桕相比较、凤尾乌桕具有树形高大、枝叶茂密、分枝多、叶片大,果穗长、果实成熟迟(比一般乌桕迟1个
