In June 1911, American explorer Hiram Binge led Yale University’s expedition team from Cusco to find a secret fortress that the Spanish invaded the remnants of the Inca after the Peruvian conquest of Peru. As a result, the fortress could not be found but unexpectedly. Discovered this desolate “air city.” In addition to jungle weeds, a complete city emerged before people. The city site covers an area of 13 square kilometers, 2280 meters above sea level, and is shrouded in clouds all year round. The Urubamba River surged from Cusco, cutting the cliffs and returning it to the Amazon. The impact of the river caused a vertical cliff of 600 meters. The Sarcan Mountains, 6264 meters above sea level, are covered in white snow and canyons. The granite terrace above the cliff is the ancient city of Machu Picchu. The city is backed by one side and the river is facing three sides. There is almost no way to go. Houses are built against mountains, and hundreds of them are still intact. Judging from the layout, there are temples of the sun, altars, palaces, nobles’ yards, civilian (slave) houses, workshops, and markets. Some rooms are staggered like mazes and go in and go out.
