Mel-1a, Mel-1b are two melatonin membrane receptors cloned from human brain and retina, respectively. With the continuous discovery of various important physiological functions of melatonin, the research on its receptors is also increasingly widespread and in-depth. In this study, we used in situ hybridization to study the expression and distribution of m-mela mRNA receptors in the hippocampus of Mel-1a and Mel-1b. In both expressions. Since melatonin acts through Mel-1a, Mel-1b receptors on the cell membrane that are coupled to the G protein, the hippocampus is also a brain area closely related to aging, suggesting that melatonin regulates the aging of the hippocampus effect
