Objective To investigate the value of oropharyngeal ventilation tube in prehospital emergency care for patients with acute critically ill patients. Methods From September 2013 to September 2014, 50 emergency patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 25 cases in each group. The observation group received oropharyngeal ventilation tube in the routine first aid while the control group used conventional pre-hospital emergency measures. Results The symptoms of hypoxia within 5 ~ 10 min after the oropharyngotracheal tube were placed in the observation group were significantly improved. The respiratory rate was restored to 16 to 22 beats / min, the oxygen saturation was over 90%, and the dyspnea was relieved. Compared with the traditional methods, Oxygen saturation improvement rate was significantly different (P <0.01). Conclusions The timely placement of oro-pharyngeal ventilation tube in pre-hospital emergency care can relieve airway obstruction, keep the airway open, and improve the success rate and cure rate of emergency treatment.
