薛埠镇位于苏南革命老区茅山东麓,西邻句容县,南接溧阳市。全镇以低山丘陵为主,面积56.1平方公里,耕地23000余亩,15个行政村,22788人,其中集镇人口7000余人。常(常州)宁(南京)、镇(镇江)深(溧阳)公路分别从东西、南北两个方向贯穿境内,六级水运航道直达本镇,水陆交通极为便利。山石资源丰富,建材工业发达。该镇是本县西部地区的物资集散和交流中心。
Xue Yu Town is located in Maoshandong, a revolutionary old district of southern Jiangsu Province, bordering Jurong County in the west and Xiangyang City in the south. The town is dominated by low mountains and hills, covering an area of 56.1 square kilometers, 23,000 acres of arable land, 15 administrative villages and 22,788 people, of which the town has a population of over 7,000. Chang (Changzhou) Ning (Nanjing) and Zhen (Zhenjiang) Shen (Fuyang) highways run through the territory from East and West, North and South respectively, and the six-level waterway directs to this town. Water and land transportation are extremely convenient. Rock and mountain resources are abundant, and building material industry is developed. The town is the material distribution and exchange center in the western part of the county.
