These are two completely new digital instruments that measure any of the following four ocean parameters as a function of depth: salinity, temperature, conductivity, speed of sound, or dissolved oxygen. Both instruments are self-contained, battery-powered and digital data is recorded on a seven-channel incremental tape recorder (model 8030) for use with international commercial electronic computers.
