Recently, Siemens / Motorola released the details of the 300mm (12 ") semiconductor process technology co-developed by the two companies. The two companies plan to share the 300-mm pilot production line and book a fab installed at Siemens now in Dresden, Germany. Siemens is the only DRAM maker in the European region, and one of the top candidates for this process is the 300mm process. Motorola does not have DRAM products, but all companies will eventually produce 300mm logic or mixed memory and logic chips, to a larger wafer to affect the economy.
