“文化大革命”是中国历史上一次严重的政治大动乱,四川是受害最深的地区之一。在这样的历史条件下,记述和反映这一历史时期真实面貌的各种文件材料,由于各种原因,没有能够系统地、妥善地保存下来。粉碎“四人帮”以后,不少文件材料又在不断地被转移、被销毁,损失极其严重。为了保存四川“文革”这段时期的历史真迹,总结十年动乱的教训,教育人民,落实党的政策,平反冤、假、错案,为整党、清查“三种人”,为各项改革和将来研究历史的需要,四川省委机关档案室从1978年以来,对四川“文革”期间所形成的文件材料进行了大规模的收集工作,并把这项工作作为他们工作的中心和重点。在六、七年的时间中,他们跑遍了近半个中国,先后到了中办秘书局、中央档案馆、军委办公厅、解放军档案馆和驻北京、太原、河南、洛阳、西安、武汉、重庆、成都等地的十多个部队的机关和档案馆以及一些省级机关,重庆、绵阳、梓橦、剑阁、宜宾、合川、广元等地档案部门,收集到“文革”时期的文件材料五十余万份,电报十万余件,录音带三百三十四盘,电影片二百七十五本,外出收集达六百九十二人次。这批材料在落实党的政策、进行改革以及各项实际工作中,发挥了积极作用,收到了较好的效果。据统计,他们提供的材料,利用率都在90％以上。原西南局、四川省委、省政府许多厅局以上干部的冤、假、错案都是利用了该室收集的档案才得以平反昭雪的;1981年,四川省高级人民法院特别审判庭审判在“文革”中篡夺四川党政大权的刘结挺、张西挺时,判定其罪行四条中有一条:“诬蔑党和国家领导人、领导干部”,就是利用他们收集的两盘录音带和四个笔记本作为物证定罪的。在当前清理“三种人”工作中,来档案室查阅“文革”档案的省内外人员更是络绎不绝,这部分档案发挥了极其重要的作用。下面请看他们的体会。

In six or seven years, they traveled nearly half of China and went to the Central Secretariat, the Central Archives, the General Office of the Central Military Commission, the PLA Archives and Beijing, Taiyuan, Henan, Luoyang, Xi’an, Wuhan, Chongqing, Mianyang, Zigong, Jiange, Yibin, Hechuan, Guangyuan and other archives departments to collect the documents and materials during the “Cultural Revolution” five More than 100,000 copies of telegrams, over 100,000 telegrams, tapes of 334 discs, 275 films, and 692 trips were collected. According to statistics, they provide materials, utilization rates are above 90%.
