华东冶金学院是冶金工业部所属的华东地区唯一的冶金工科院校。坐落在全国十大钢铁生产基地之一的钢城安徽省马鞍山市湖东中路。华东冶金学院原名马鞍山钢铁学院,是经国务院批准、据教育部1977年4月11日通知在马鞍山钢铁工业学校基础上改建的。马鞍山钢铁工业学校建于1958年,曾开设炼钢,炼铁等8个专业,并开办过炼钢、轧钢两个大专班。“文化大革命”中横遭破坏,停止招生,直至1972年才恢复招收中专普通班学生。到改建为马鞍山钢铁学院时止,共培养中等技术人才2079人。1985年11月26日,经冶金工业部批准,马鞍山钢铁学院更名为华东冶金学院。华东冶金学院是在党的十一届三中全会以来的路线指引下,件随着改革开放的步伐
East China Institute of Metallurgy is the only metallurgical engineering college in eastern China to which the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry belongs. Is located in one of the country’s top ten steel production base Steel City, Anhui Province Ma’anshan Hudong Road. Maanshan Iron and Steel Institute, formerly known as East China Metallurgical College, was approved by the State Council and was remodeled on the basis of the Ma On Shan Steel Industry School notified by the Ministry of Education on April 11, 1977. Founded in 1958, Maanshan Iron & Steel Industrial School has set up 8 majors of steel making and iron making and opened two junior college classes of steelmaking and rolling. “Cultural Revolution” was destroyed in the horizontal and to stop enrollment, until 1972 to resume enrollment of ordinary secondary school students. When it was converted to Maanshan Iron and Steel Institute, a total of 2079 medium-sized technical personnel were trained. November 26, 1985, approved by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, Maanshan Iron and Steel Institute changed its name to East China Institute of Metallurgy.
