近年来,田阳县大力开展植树造林和封山育林。最近,经自治区检查验收,各项指示均达到要求,林业用地达标栽植面积共8.72万公顷,达标栽植率为98.37%。人工造林达标栽植率为99.52%;飞(直)播造林97.03%;封山育林99.46%;县以上管理的公路(204公里)两旁达标栽植率93.33%;县境内主要河流(全长122.9公里)两岸达标栽植率96.37%;城乡居民点“四旁”达标栽植率95.94%。其主要做法是:
