On July 30, 2007, the Third Session of the Standing Committee of the 13th Zhongshan Municipal People’s Congress heard and reviewed the Report of the Municipal People’s Government on the Implementation of the Plan for National Economic and Social Development in the First Half of 2007. The opinions of the NPC Standing Committee are summarized as follows: Members of the Standing Committee believe that since the beginning of this year, under the correct leadership of the municipal party committee, the municipal people’s government and relevant departments have done a great deal of fruitful work around the planned objectives set by the First Session of the 13th NPC. During the implementation of the plan, the Municipal People’s Government adhered to the scientific concept of development, adjusted its economic structure, transformed its mode of economic growth, and worked hard to overcome and solve the difficulties and problems in its economic operation. The city’s economy continued to maintain a good momentum of development.
