一九三七年七七事变后,青州党的早期领导人冯毅之到益都长秋乡组织抗日游击队。该乡赵俊美很快成为妇女中的积极分子。不久村里成立了妇救会,赵俊美被选为副会长。一九三八年七月,赵俊美光荣地加入了中国共产党。从此,她更加勤奋工作,把党的事业和自己的命运联在了一起。结婚,可谓人生中的大事。而赵俊美的婚礼是在硝烟和战火中度过的。一九四一年五月,经组织介绍,赵俊美同新一营的王希鸿副连长结了婚。结婚那天,院子里挤满了干部、战士和贺喜闹新房的乡亲们,充满了喜庆气氛。但他们刚入洞房,鬼子进村了。这时村子里只住着新一营的一个连,敌人来势凶猛,兵力悬殊,上级决定立即向淄河西岸赵家庄转移。气氛霎时紧张起来,马上进入紧急战斗状态。赵俊美迅速换上旧衣裳,挎起小包袱随部队转移。军队刚到村口,就和敌人接上
After the Incident of July 7, 1937, Feng Yizhi, an early leader of the Qingzhou Party, went to Changdu County to organize the anti-Japanese guerrillas.
