系列报道是指在一特定时期之内,就某一典型事物或问题,从不同侧面、不同层次和不同视角,进行系统、深入的陆续报道的一种形式。这类报道反映相同或近似的但又相对独立的新闻事物,由此深化特定的新闻主题,进而集合成为报道整体。这对读者加深理解所报道事物或问题有重要作用。它属于组合报道之一种。系列报道属于主题性新闻。它主要通过从不同属性、种类和特征等,多次报道某一事物或问题,突出体现某种主题思想,挖掘某种共性,反映具有普遍意义的状况或态势,以引起社会舆论的重视。系列报道所反映的若干对象大都是非事件
Series reporting is a form of reporting in a systematic and in-depth manner about a typical thing or problem, from different sides, levels and perspectives within a specific period of time. Such reports reflect the same or similar but relatively independent journalism, thereby deepening specific news topics and then aggregating them into a whole coverage. This is important for readers to deepen their understanding of the things or problems reported. It belongs to a combination of reports. Series reports are the thematic news.
