热工课是物理系四门基础生产技术课程(机工、电工、热工、木工)之一。设置这些劳动课程的目的是使学生通过劳动实践改造思想,树立劳动观点,逐渐消灭脑力劳动和体力劳动的差别,并在劳动中掌握生产技能和获得丰富的感性知识。当时确定热工课的目的有以下两个方面:(1)使学生掌握内燃机和各种热机的构造以及工作原理,初步掌握拆装、检修调整等技术,并学会使用有关各种工具;(2)掌握汽车,内燃机以及其他热机的最新技术革新的成就和发展方向。
Thermal Engineering is the Physics Department of four basic production technology courses (mechanics, electrical, thermal, carpentry). The purpose of setting these labor curricula is to enable students to reform their minds through labor practices, establish a labor viewpoint, gradually eliminate the differences between mental and physical labor, and acquire production skills and rich sensory knowledge in labor. At that time, the purpose of the thermal engineering course was identified in the following two aspects: (1) to enable students to master the structure and working principle of internal combustion engines and various heat engines, master preliminary disassembly, maintenance and adjustment techniques, and learn about the various tools used; (2) Master the achievements and direction of the latest technological innovations in automobiles, internal combustion engines and other heat engines.
