3094工作面位于东环坨矿-500水平中央(下段)采区9煤层,煤层厚度3.3m,煤层平均倾角19°,总掘进工程量4777m。3094掘进工作面在施工中遇到很多问题:3094里风道揭露f266正断层H=6.5m∠58°、f266正断层往前施工12m上帮将揭露f266-1正断层H=3.0m∠35°,此断层落差大,两个断层紧邻较近形成个断层带;3094风道过f266正断层时与8煤层间距近仅仅3.0~3.5m,在8煤层老塘内还有过断层托顶煤时存在大量的有害气体,其中瓦斯最大达到3.7%,CO达到了0.0120%;3094外运道与3094运道联络斜巷夹角为22°,如果直接开口,不利于将来的运输系统及辅助运输系统的使用;3094切眼掘进过程中,上顶是采空区,间距约2m,顶板破碎。
