After a lapse of three years, professors at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences once again turned their attention to a woman writer. In 2007, the Nobel Prize for literature was presented to an English writer called “The Originator of Female Novels.” This year, 87-year-old Doris Lessing. After nearly half a century of controversy, Lessing won $ 763,000 from the Nobel Prize for Literature, a gold medal, and an opportunity to speak at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm.
