吐鲁番盆地常年蒸发量是降水量(不足20毫米)的百余倍,可是今年一反常态,春天飘飘洒洒地降了几场大雪。3月初,我们从乌鲁木齐驾车到火焰山时,吐峪沟峡谷阴面覆盖着白雪,山上红色岩土与洁白的积雪相映成景。吐峪沟峡谷位于鄯善县境内天山余脉火焰山中,是火焰山南北走向的一条沟谷,长约20公里。北起点在312国道鄯善县苏贝希买里村,向南蜿蜒至吐峪沟乡麻扎村。峡谷最宽处约1公里,最窄处仅几十米。吐峪沟下游为中国历史文化名村——吐峪沟麻扎村,民居建筑绝大多数在百年以上。下游西边的较高台地上为霍加麻扎。靠近沟南口处修有拦水坝。
