2009年9月,中央电视台创建了新闻总值班室制度,通过它来指挥调度重新整合后的新闻中心所有报道资源。中央电视台新闻中心(以下简称“新闻中心”)总值班室还有一个小名——Desk(新闻桌),在日常工作中人们更多用这个英文单词称呼它。Desk制度在外国新闻媒体中早已存在,新闻中心的Desk也参考了国内外多家媒体机构的先进经验,并根据自身的实际情况进行了调整和创新。一、全新的新闻生产流程Desk是新闻中心新闻业务全流程的指挥系统。之所以称为全流程的指挥系统,是因为从选题线索到采访角度,再到播出安排,直到最后的效果评价的每一个业务流程,Desk都会介入。但并不是每一条新闻都需要干预,Desk的工作主要针对重点报道。重点报道
