利用中国数字地震台网和IncorporatedResearchInstitutionsforSeismology (IRIS)提供的远场宽频带P波垂向记录,基于有限地震断层方法,反演了2 0 0 3年2月2 4日新疆伽师6 5级地震震源破裂过程.结果表明,本次地震为北倾低角度稍具左移分量的逆冲破裂事件,断层面走向30 0°,倾角2 8°,震源深度7 5km .其震源机制与1997~1998年伽师强震群有明显区别,而与1996年阿图什地震相似.推断该地震是由塔里木盆地向北挤压,在天山造山带引发逆冲断层活动造成的.
