８０年代初，广东外贸企业为了扩大出口货源，多创外汇，开始了投资创办出口商品生产基地。广东外贸企业办实业，为广东外贸策略的调整，组建外贸企业集团创造了有利条件；拓宽了外贸企业经营范围，增强了外贸企业生存和发展的能力。但由于外贸企业缺少办实业的人才和经验，因此在办实业过程中存在不少问题。本文分析了投资项目存在的问题，并对加强投资管理，提高投资效益提出了一些建议
In the early 1980s, Guangdong’s foreign trade enterprises started to invest in and set up an export production base in order to expand the sources of exports and create more foreign exchange. The establishment of industrial enterprises by Guangdong’s foreign trade enterprises has created favorable conditions for the adjustment of Guangdong’s foreign trade strategy and for the establishment of foreign trade enterprise groups. It has broadened the scope of business of foreign trade enterprises and enhanced the ability of foreign trade enterprises to survive and develop. However, as foreign trade enterprises lack the talent and experience in industrial undertakings, many problems exist in the course of running industrial enterprises. This article analyzes the problems in investment projects, and puts forward some suggestions on strengthening investment management and improving investment returns
