以芥酸含量为0.44%、不育率为51.9%、纯度为99.7%的117A二级原原种为材料,在同一隔繁点进行连续多代自然隔繁,结果表明,仅自然隔繁一代的117A种子能达到117A制种用原种所规定的芥酸<1.0%、不育率≥47.0%、纯度≥99.0%、植株性状整齐度高、一致性好的质量标准,二代及以后各代均达不到规定的指标,且代数愈高差距愈远。说明隐性核不育两型系不能以制种用的原种连续进行繁殖供大面积制种用,否则,将明显增加拔可育株工作量,降低制种产量、杂交种的优势和品质
