随着跨文化交际学的兴趣,不同文化背景的人们在交际中出现的问题以及如何解决这些问题越来越引起外语教学界的重视。这些问题有的属于语言问题,也有的是非语言问题。语言是文化的载体,是文化的传播媒介。社会文化对语言的制约,不仅仅因为不同文化背景的人们在思维模式上的差异而体现在语言的句法、篇章层面上,语言的词汇作为语言的基本要素,它更明显,更直接地体现了社会文化对语言的制约。有效地提高学生的外语水平,最大限度地降低语言学习者使用目的语交际的语用失误,始终是外语教学的宗旨。本文拟对英汉两种语言中的一些词汇作初浅的文化分析,从语言的词汇这一层面,谈谈社会文化对语言的制约及其对外语教学的影响。
With the interest of intercultural communication, the problems that people of different cultural backgrounds encounter in communication and how to solve these problems have drawn more and more attention from foreign language teaching circles. Social and cultural constraints on the language, not only because of different cultural backgrounds in the mode of thinking of people in the language of the differences reflected in the syntax, chapter level, language vocabulary as the basic elements of language, it is more obvious and more directly reflect Social culture restricts language. It is always the purpose of foreign language teaching to effectively improve students’ foreign language proficiency and minimize the pragmatic failures of language learners to use the target language. This article intends to make a shallow cultural analysis of some of the English and Chinese terms, and from the perspective of the vocabulary of the language, it discusses the constraints imposed by the social culture on language and its impact on foreign language teaching.
