2004年6月20日,北京西城区护国寺11号发生火灾,护国寺遗存西配殿的一部分——地藏殿被焚毁,过火面积达187平方米。同年9月,《上海消防》刊登了一篇由魏平安先生撰写的《护国寺之痛》,详细地介绍了护国寺火灾的前前后后。护国寺火灾引起了各方关注。清华大学建筑学院教授林贤光在火灾后多次寻访护国寺,并为我刊发来了《再论护国寺之痛》。事隔三年,我们再次回溯这场火灾时,是否会有什么新的认识?
On June 20, 2004, a fire broke out on Huoguo Temple on the 11th of Xicheng District in Beijing, part of the Temple of the Western Temple in Huguosi Remains - Buried Tibetan Temple was burnt down, covering an area of 187 square meters. In September of the same year, “Shanghai Fire” published an article entitled “Pain of Huoguo Temple” written by Mr. Wei Ping An, detailing the front and back of the Huoguo Temple fire. Huguo Temple fire caused all parties concerned. Lin Xianguang, a professor of Tsinghua University’s School of Architecture, visited Huguo Temple many times after the fire and published a post for me. After three years, if we trace back to this fire again, will there be any new understanding?
