党的十五大提出,促进地区经济合理布局和协调发展。是我国今后改革和发展的一项战略任务。江泽民同志指出:“中西部地区要加快改革开放和开发,发挥资源优势,发展优势产业。”为此,要“进一步发展东部地区同中西部地区多种形式的联合和合作”。这是关系区域经济协调发展的重大战略部署。基于这一思路,应该学习和借鉴我国东部地区及国外经验,博采众长,为我所用,推进西部地区社会主义市场经济的拓展。
The 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward to promote the rational distribution of regional economy and coordinated development. It is a strategic task of our country’s reform and development in the future. Comrade Jiang Zemin pointed out: “The central and western regions should speed up reform, opening up and development, give full play to their advantages in resources and develop advantageous industries.” To this end, “we must further develop various forms of cooperation and cooperation in the eastern and central regions with the central and western regions.” This is a major strategic arrangement concerning the coordinated development of regional economy. Based on this idea, we should learn from the experience of our country’s eastern region and foreign countries, draw upon others and promote the expansion of the socialist market economy in western China.
