现在青年们所面临的或即将面临的是历史遗留的问题抑或是新的问题?五四时期的年轻人们学习西方艺术是求学图存,85时候的青年们学习西方现代艺术是求学图新,时代的过往,轮到了这一代新生代,他们应该如何面对。文中的新生代,指的是出生于70末或80后的艺术学者们,他们由于有着不同于父辈们的文化生长背景及文化背景:没有经历文化运动和文革、改革开放时的经济转型等国家重大变革,由于完全不同的经历,这些年轻人必然和父辈有不同的观念。他们在网络背景争世界文化下成长,学习的是西方体系的知识加本土传统文化。客观的说比前一代人更加容易国际化,他们可以以不同于前辈们的思维去理解当代艺术。本文由此角度入手,试探讨他们与前辈在艺术观念、艺术表现方面的几个显著不同。
