In 1839, Louis Dagel published his method of photography, and within a few months a new kind of industry, new technique, new art form appeared in Europe. Soon, this trend spread all over the world. In 1853 alone, more than 10,000 people in the United States took 3 million photographs. In 1856, even one additional photographic course was added to the course at the University of London, a new industry in which photography was born.
