In recent years, published a large number of sealing technology information to prove that the growing interest in sealing technology, so the American Society of Lubrication Engineers (ASLE) Technical Committee began to carry out this information review. The scope of the commentary included the dynamic seal of 1967 and the materials used prior to 1965. The ASLE Sealing Technology Committee proceeded to make this review, which was designed to provide a reference tool for published sealing information and to promote personal and group organization to publish work that has not been adopted before. Because dynamic seals are the majority of the published information and have the most problems, surveys are generally concentrated in this area. A considerable amount of material comes from information published in 1964, and this article includes information from January 1965 to December 1967.
