Serum lipids and apolipoprotein levels were measured in 87 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with different stages of nephropathy and compared with the normal control group. Results: Compared with the normal control group, the levels of TG and LDL-C in type 2 diabetes mellitus increased, while the levels of TC and HDL-C and Apo-A1 decreased in groups B, C and D, and the levels of Apo- B level increased, the difference was significant. In diabetic group, TG level in group C and group D and LDL-C and Apo-B in group D were significantly increased, while HDL-C was decreased in group D, with significant difference. TG, LDL-C, Apo-B levels and urinary albumin excretion rate, fasting blood glucose was positively correlated. Conclusion: Hyperlipidemia promotes the occurrence and development of diabetic nephropathy. Diabetes mellitus aggravates dyslipidemia and forms a vicious cycle.
