在渡口工业区建设中经常遇到挡墙问题,以往,大部分沿用传统的重力式挡墙。重力式挡墙圬工量大、造价高,尤其是块石挡墙,劳动强度大又费工。我们于1978年提出了一种新型的薄壁支挡结构——折板挡墙,并先后对五项实际工程做了设计,总长500米,支挡高度2.2~6.75米,其中有一项采用了预应力折板,目前均已建成使用。此外,北京市市政工程研究所等单位在1979年了解了渡口折板挡墙试验研究情况后,于1980年在北京东便门立交道路工程中,修建了一座长345米、高度1.8~4.8米的折板挡墙。
