“人性的自我表达”是文学最为原始的初始状态,而当人性的自我表达经过不断地演变,逐渐将情感和一些表现手法融入进去之后,“人性的自我表达”被隐藏起来,需要人们通过文学的表达形式,对人性的本质深层次地挖掘以及反思。自古以来,“文学”同“人性”互相促进,使得文学不断发展进步,同时也增强了人们对人性本质的体悟。以上便隐含着英美坚持的创作观点,即“文学即人学”。本文首先将对人文主义、人文精神进行简单介绍,然后谈谈对英美文学中人文主义的几点思考。
