The rise of social medicine in China in the 1980s has become more and more popular, and the establishment of the Society of Social Medicine is an important symbol. After a lapse of four years, when the second academic conference was held, young and middle-aged social and medical workers under the age of 50 actually accounted for 58% of the attendees. This is a very encouraging picture. The editorial department of the periodical invited some young and middle-aged scholars to discuss the topic. They said: “The ice has broken and the waterway has been opened. The heavy responsibility of the 1990s has historically been on us and it is a long way to go.” Here is their Conversation notes.
