对传统医学全面认识和保护凝聚了当今世界主要国际组织的心血和智慧。世界卫生组织厘清了传统知识与现代科学之间的关系。联合国设计出一套公平分享由于遗传资源和传统知识的利用而产生的利益制度。联合国教科文组织提出的“文化平等”原则是包括传统医学在内的一切传统文化赖以存续和发展的灵魂。随着国际社会对传统医学认识的不断加深,包括中医学在内的传统医学将一如既往地为增进全人类的福祉做出贡献。
Comprehensive knowledge and protection of traditional medicine unite the efforts and wisdom of the major international organizations in the world today. WHO clarified the relationship between traditional knowledge and modern science. The United Nations devised a system of equitable sharing of benefits arising from the utilization of genetic resources and traditional knowledge. The principle of “cultural equality” proposed by UNESCO is the soul of all traditional cultures including traditional medicine. As the international community deepens its understanding of traditional medicine, traditional medicine, including traditional Chinese medicine, will, as always, contribute to the promotion of the well-being of all humankind.
