乔嘉甫女王于本世纪30—40年代在新疆省城迪化(今乌鲁木齐市),是位风云人物。她有时乘骏马去巡视自己的部落,有时自开卧车出入官场,以其风姿绰约受到人们注目。解放后乔嘉甫渐被人们淡忘。于潜之先生关于乔女王一文(载《民国春秋》1994年2期),初步露布其历史,但文中有些史实不很清楚,为正视听,谨将本人为编撰新疆人物志所征集的有关乔嘉甫的历史资料编缀成篇,请于先生,及耆老们雅正。
