1986年10月15日中国农科院国家作物种质库举行落成典礼。这座种质库总建筑面积为3200平方米,由试验区、种子加工区和贮藏区三部分组成。贮藏区包括两间长期库和四个可调库,长期库的设计温度为-18℃,相对湿度50%,可贮藏40万份种质材料,预计1987年起开始接纳种子入库。这座种质库的建成可基本满足我国在作物种质长期贮存方面的需要,它标志着我国作物种质资源研究开始一个新里程。
October 15, 1986 Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences National Crop Germplasm held inauguration.
