杨树是世界著名的速生用材树种,近年来在世界上发展很快,在我国分布也很广。过去在我国北方是主要的造林树种;近几年由于意大利杨(简称意杨)的引种,在南方平原湖区也已成为主要造林树种。我省1982年栽植500多万株,其中成片造林11.87万亩,“四旁”栽植300多万株,1983年又造林10多方亩,并计划十年内发展100—200万亩。现将杨树的特性和栽培技术作如下介绍:
