Liu Shipeng: From the quagmire of shock therapy in 2000 to the so-called tremendous changes in the stock market in 2006, the key to the split-share reform People Weekly: Who do you think is the driving force behind the soaring stock market this year? Liu Jipeng: The first one is the result of the internal transformation of the Chinese capital market itself. Since 2000, China’s capital market has fallen into the quagmire of shock therapy. By 2006, the stock market had undergone such tremendous changes. The key to this was the share-reform reform.
