《东方红》是一首歌颂共产党和毛主席的庄严颂歌。从20世纪40年代开始,唱遍全国,流传全世界,唱出了广大人民对党和领袖无限热爱的心声。其曲调源于晋西北、陕北一带流行的民歌小调《骑白马》,唱词语言朴实、生动,描写青年男女为了纯真的爱情,表白自己心中对情人的真诚爱恋。
“Dongfanghong” is a solemn ode praising the Communist Party and Chairman Mao. Since the 1940s, it has sung all over the country and spread all over the world, singing the general public’s infinite love for the party and the leader. The melody originates from the popular folk minor “riding a white horse” in northwestern Shanxi and northern Shaanxi. The lyrics are simple and vivid. They depict young men and women for their pure love and show their sincere love for their lover.
