Nerve growth factors and receptors exist around the tumor by means of autocrine and paracrine, and they interact to activate the series of molecular signaling pathways to cause the cascade amplification effect, leading to the mutual invasion of tumor cells and nerve fibers to generate nerve invasion . Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a common malignant tumor in oral and maxillofacial region, which has the characteristic manifestation of early perineural infiltration. This neurotropic characteristic makes adenoid cystic carcinoma spread along the nerve and gives a diagnosis of adenoid cystic carcinoma And treatment has brought great difficulties, is to affect the quality of life of patients, causing an important factor in postoperative recurrence. Therefore, to explore the related mechanisms and problems of peripheral nerve infiltration has important theoretical and practical value. This review summarizes the roles and mechanisms of NGF and its receptors in perineural invasion of adenoid cystic carcinoma.
