语言与文化密切相关,语言是在文化传递过程中获得的。世界上不同的民族有不同的语言和文化,而且彼此之间不断的融合。在人类历史的长河中,语言一直在变化,莎士比亚时期的英语和现代英语大不相同。此外,英语在发展变化过程中,由于外族入侵、文化融合等原因不断吸收其他语言的词汇,形成新词,这些外来语对英语产生深刻的影响,从而为英语的充实发展带来重要意义。
