我多次看到过黄河。在通常情况下,只要黄河没有出现断流现象,那怕只剩下极窄的一束,也能在岸边看到它那金黄色的身影。然而,当我来到山西省的吉县,乘车到达晋陕交界处的黄河东岸时,那闻名的壶口瀑布的隆隆响声早已听见,但却看不到一点儿黄河水。 我沿石阶走到河床,又向前走了约50米,终于看到了著名的壶口瀑布。原来,河水在平整的河床上冲出一道深槽,只有30米到50米宽。“源出昆仑衍大流,玉关九转一壶收。”黄河在深槽中奔放而下,势如排山倒海,声似群狮怒吼,象一把巨大的悬壶倾泻着汹涌的黄河之水,自天而降。所以这个地方,取名壶口。
