Abstract Objective To develop and validate an open source information toolkit to create a repository of radiation emission data from existing nuclear medicine reports and to demonstrate the potential value of these data for quality assurance and vertical monitoring of individual patient dose exposures . Materials and Methods This study was approved by the Ethics Review Board and endorsed by HIPAA. (Due to a retrospective study) did not sign the informed consent form. An open source information toolkit has been developed that automatically extracts from the nuclear medicine reports information on the types and dosing schedules of radiopharmaceuticals.
