野蚕(Bombyx mandarina Moore)属鳞翅目家蚕蛾科,是桑园主要食叶性害虫之一。1988年,我所与国际原子能机构(IAEA)签订合同,开展利用昆虫不育技术防治野蚕的研究。其原理是利用射线辐照野蚕,然后将辐射不育雄虫释放入桑园,与自然种群交尾,以达到控制乃至灭绝这一害虫的目的。关于释放的不育虫,与自然虫有无交尾竞争能力,野蚕一生究竟能交尾几次,交尾的习性如何?这些都是在应用辐射不育技术时必须搞清的问题。为此,我们进行了这方面的试
Wild silkworm (Bombyx mandarina Moore) is a Lepidoptera moth family, is one of the main leaf-eating pests mulberry. In 1988, I signed a contract with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to conduct research on the use of the sterile insect technique to control wild silkworms.
