2004年秋季开学,湖南省长沙市5万名初中毕业生升入高中,开始了新的学习生活。与以往不同的是,他们当中有1400名学生来自开福课改实验区。由于学生初中学习的背景大不相同,有的来自实验区,有的来自非实验区,面对高中课程,学生的反应大不相同。由此而引发的新课程质量问题,成为最敏感的话题。2004年9月,长沙开福区39名学生走进周南中学,这是一所省重点中学。学校将他们与另外11名非实验区的学生编在高一(1)班,被称为“开福班”。高中学习开始了,这39名学生面对的是与初中课程不相衔接的课程,其教学方法和学习要求也与初中大不一样,对他们来说,面临的挑战远远大于其他同学。开学后的第一次月考,高一(1)班成绩居全年级11个班最后一名,试卷发下来后,全班学生都哭了。然而,一个月以后的第二次月考,奇迹出现了,高一(1)班跃居全年级第三,一个学期之后,语文、数学、外语、物理、化学总分排全年级第二,物理平均分排全年级第一。这一忧一喜,牵动了长沙教育界,在各初中和高中学校引起强烈反响,也引发了诸多深层次的思考。
In the fall of 2004, 50,000 junior high school graduates in Changsha, Hunan Province, entered high school and began a new study and life. What differs from the past is that 1,400 of them are from the Kaifu Experimental Area. Due to the different backgrounds of students’ junior high school learning, some come from experimental areas and some come from non-experimental areas. In the face of high school courses, students’ responses are very different. The new curriculum quality problems caused by this have become the most sensitive topic. In September 2004, 39 students from Kaifu District of Changsha entered Zhounan Middle School. This is a provincial key middle school. The school has placed them with 11 other non-experimental students in a high school (1) class, known as the “Kai Fook class.” With the start of high school, the 39 students faced courses that did not converge with the junior high school curriculum. Their teaching methods and learning requirements were also different from those of junior high schools. For them, the challenges were far greater than those of other students. In the first monthly exam after the school year, the grade one (1) was the last one in the 11 classes of the year-end class. After the curling down, the whole class cried. However, in the second monthly exam after a month, a miracle emerged, and the high (1) class jumped to the third place in the whole year. After one semester, the language, mathematics, foreign language, physics, and chemistry scores ranked second in the whole year. The physical average is ranked first in the whole year. This worry has touched the education circle in Changsha and has caused strong reactions in junior and senior high schools. It has also triggered many in-depth reflections.
