Lin Yuanchun was born in 1937 in a poor peasant family in Dexin Village, Longjing County, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. In 1960 he graduated from the Yanbian University’s Department of Literature, assigned to the Yanbian People’s Radio Arts Department, served as editor, reporter and deputy director.
