This paper discusses one-dimensional and combined distributions of wave heights and periods according to waverider records in the region of Lianyungang. Based on the analysis of 132 sets of continuous wave records, various statistic characteristic values are obtained, distribution models of wave heights and periods are derived, and a comparison with classical theory is given. In addition, a combined probability density figure which is very important in the sense of practice and a combined distribution model are presented.
