2005年1月6日,北京奥组委召开第50次执委会会议。中共中央政治局委员、北京市委书记、北京奥组委主席刘淇主持会议。国务委员、北京奥组委第一副主席陈至立,国家体育总局局长、北京奥组委执行主席刘鹏,北京市市长、北京奥组委执行主席王岐山,中国残疾人联合会主席、北京奥组委执行主席邓朴方出席会议。会上,刘淇宣布了中央关于北京奥组委领导班子成员的任职通知及调整后的执委名单。刘淇指出,这次调整是贯彻中央关于奥运会筹备工作指示精神,进一步加强奥组委领导班子建设,适应筹办工作新阶段要求的重要措施。刘淇对领导班子调整的重要意义进行了深入阐述。这次调整是进一步发挥体制优势,发挥奥运会带动作用,进一步加强与中央部委、体育总局和北京市协调配合,形成合力的需要。调整后的领导班子将使奥组委在协调、整合各方面资源的能力上得到显著提高。
January 6, 2005, the BOCOG held its 50th executive committee meeting. Liu Qi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and chairman of the BOCOG, presided over the meeting. State Councilor, First Vice Chairman of BOCOG Chen Zhili, Director of General Administration of Sport of China, Executive Chairman of Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee Liu Peng, Mayor of Beijing, Executive Chairman of BOCOG Wang Qishan, Chairman of China Disabled Persons Federation, Executive Chairman of the organizing committee Deng Pufang attended the meeting. At the meeting, Liu Qi announced the announcement on the appointment of members of the leadership team of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and the list of executive committee members after the adjustment. Liu Qi pointed out: This readjustment is an important measure for implementing the spirit of the Central Committee’s directive on preparations for the Olympic Games, further strengthening the construction of the leadership team of the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games and meeting the requirements of the new phase of preparation work. Liu Qi elaborated the important significance of the adjustment of the leading body. This adjustment is to further exert the advantages of the system, bring the role of the Olympic Games into full play, and further strengthen the coordination and cooperation with the Central Ministries, Sports General Administration and Beijing Municipality to form a synergy need. The adjusted leadership will enable BOCOG to significantly improve its ability to coordinate and integrate all aspects of resources.
