青岛市保险行业协会成立于1996年,协会在日常工作中较好地发挥了自律、维权、协调、交流和宣传的职能作用。协会理事会下设秘书处和机动车险、航意险、银行代理保险、专业中介和个人代理人保险等五个专门工作委员会。秘书处作为协会的日常办事机构,内设有行政办公室、业务协调工作部、信访投诉部,同时还设电子化考试中心、机动车新车联保办公室两个相对独立的办事机构,协会秘书长原永锋。截至2004年6月底,会员单位共计24家,其中保险公司13家、保险中介机构11家,13家保险公司中,财产保险公司7家、人寿保险公司6家。
